May 2005 Trenton Lofts Newsletter
Dear Dan,
As far as I can tell there are no new lofty projects in Trenton to talk about this month. Hopefully this will change and some great news will be forthcoming.

Meanwhile there are some updates and a few political and arts tidbits.

Ice House Sells Out

This project sold out the day the developers announced it. 19 of 19 units sold for between $100,000 and $150,000. You can get on the waiting list by contacting the developer directly.
Mayoral Candidates debate economic development
    Both lose
Trenton's mayoral race is starting this spring in advance of the May 2006 election. The Trenton Council of Civic Associations sponsored this first debate on Economic Development. Neither candidate did a great job and the current Mayor wasn't there. However, I got to ask a couple of questions and have written my responses to the answers.
Trenton Film Festival is this weekend

The Trenton Film Festival returns to downtown Trenton for the weekend of April 29 - May 1. There will be three venues and around 50 movies. This a great opportunity to see interesting films and the filmmakers that made them.
Ernie White's The Evolution of the Blues Guitar

Features a big blues line-up headlined by Ernie White and also featuring Joe Zook, Paul Plumeri and John Bushnell.

The Conduit is one of our favorite places. It's a wonderful regional music venue that is able to book big shows in Trenton. If you're thinking of living in Trenton this is one of the reasons why.

Art Talks: Illustrating the Point

An informal art talk highlight various aspects of the current exhibit, "Moscow Makes Trenton Takes." A look at stories and narratives in the paintings.

Gallery 125 is a great gathering place and shows local artists who sell at great prices.

Happenings in Trenton
    The Trenton Downtowner's events calendar
To really keep up with Trenton events you need to get plugged in to the Trenton Downtowner. The montly paper is published by Jamie Griswold and edited by Joe Emanski.
