If there's one thing I hate it's people who complain about not being able to find privately developed housing that's affordable. It's literally right in front of you every time you visit the Trenton Lofts site.

The deRosa Group is remodeling a BIG 5 BR house in Trenton and is selling it for well under $200,000.

Here's another great deal on a wonderful large house in Trenton. The owners are moving to Europe and have it for sale for $199,000.

Jazz Masters Series - Fall 2008

Jazz at the Candlelight Lounge is one Trenton's best kept secrets. The Jazz Masters series is a Saturday afternoon hapening (around 3 pm) that features some of the best acts in the country.

How, may you ask, can this be and how is it that you haven't heard of this?

Well, the Candlelight is a hole in the wall. It's in Trenton and they don't spend a pile on advertising. Here's the deal, the musicians know about it because the folks who organize the event are serious jazz afficiandos and this series has been on the Jazz map for years. Muscicians traveling between Philly and New York stop in to play a Saturday afternoon gig before their night sessions in the bigger cities. The pick up a little extra money and we get world-class jazz for free.

Yes for free!

The Jazz series packs them in and the Candlelight makes a little money off of drinks and food. That said, the drinks are not even expensive.

This all works because people in the know, show up and theirs low overhead. Remember, the owners aren't paying Princeton rents that they have to pass along to fans.

Upcoming Events

  • November 1 - Ryan Oliver
  • November 8 - Trombone Summit
  • November 15 - Curtis Taylor
