Jazz at the Candlelight Lounge is one
Trenton's best kept secrets. The Jazz Masters
series is a Saturday afternoon hapening
(around 3 pm) that features some of the best
acts in the country.
How, may you ask, can this be and how is it that you haven't heard of this? Well, the Candlelight is a hole in the wall. It's in Trenton and they don't spend a pile on advertising. Here's the deal, the musicians know about it because the folks who organize the event are serious jazz afficiandos and this series has been on the Jazz map for years. Muscicians traveling between Philly and New York stop in to play a Saturday afternoon gig before their night sessions in the bigger cities. The pick up a little extra money and we get world-class jazz for free.
