Trenton Ferry has almost sold out

Hopefully everyone on the Trenton Lofts email list that wants a loft in Trenton has visiting the Cracker Factory by now. If not you don't really have too much time left.

All 8 of the Everett's Corner units have sold out and only 4 of the Cracker Factory units are left. Many of the lofts have been closed and people have started moving in.

I walk down Centre St every day and the change in the neighborhood is remarkable.

New construction in downtown
  Trenton Seal
Eight blocks from Trenton Ferry, in the heart of downtown Trenton, there is some exciting new construction going up.

I've long said that the nicest commercial block in Trenton is the 100 block of South Warren. South Warren is home to Café Ole, Gallery 125, Classics books, State St. Barbershop, Gilmore's Café, Tanya's restaurant, around one corner is the Marriott, and around another is Settimo Cielo. My Peace St. apartments are next door as is a professional garage music studio.

Now a new building is going up quickly at the corner of S. Warren and Front St. It's owned by the same developer that's renovated the Golden Swan on the other side of the street.

The building will be steel frame construction and three stories high. Though it isn't loft space, it is a nice addition of office and retail space to our city and a sign of progress.

The picture is me and Joe Festa, unofficial Mayor of S. Warren St. and proprietor of State St. Barbershop.

302 Gardner in Hillcrest

Matt and Liz Faircloth passed along a listing for another newly renovated home in Trenton. This time in the Hillcrest neighborhood.

Matt and Liz continue to turn out well priced houses with good quality in nice locations. At $249K, 302 Gardner is a nice break from the overpriced homes in neighboring Ewing and Lawrenceville.

Though not a loft, this house looks to be a great value.

Reception at Artworks

There is a gallery opening and reception for Tim Lefens at Artworks on January 17. The show is titled: Songs of the Inmate: Tim Lefens Recent Paintings and runs through February 28.

The reception is , January 17 - 6:00 to 9:00 pm

An Artist's Gallery Talk is scheduled Saturday, February 7 @ 2 pm

Artworks is in Mill Hill @ 19 Everett Alley and is the building right at the bottom of the ramp when you take the Market St. exit of US Rt. 1 into Trenton.

Phone is 394-9436

Alexander

Many Trenton Lofts readers may already know that Michelle and I lost our precious 19 month old son, Alexander a on December 20th. To us, he symbolized our life in Trenton and had already become a big part of the community.

If you didn't know him, please do take a moment to enjoy his life with us. His web site is AlexanderDodson.com.

Our friends Susan and Chris Keeler also put together a wonderful memorial video of him.
