Neighborhood Association Sites
- Old Mill Hill Society - Mill Hill is Trenton's best neighborhood. I can't think of a neighborhood that I've either lived in or heard of that does more for its size. There are some interesting real estate opportunities left in the neighborhood for the adventurous.
- Hillcrest - Single family homes in the western part of Trenton.
- Hiltonia - Trenton's most suburban neighborhood is large single family homes built mostly in the '50s. Some of the homes are very grand indeed.
- Glen Afton - A mixed bag of residential architecture situated between the river and the Deleware Canal. One of Trenton's nice neighborhoods.
- The Island - (broken link) Formerly the site of vacation homes on the Deleware river, this neighborhood can have the feel of a resort area with screened in porches overlooking the river
- Cadwalader Heights - stately homes in a neighborhood that was laid out by Frederick Law Olmsted as he designed Cadwalader Park.
- Trenton Council of Civic Associations - the umbrella organization for all of Trenton's civic groups.
Here
are a few good sources for becoming familiar with the downtown:
The
Trenton Downtowner
- our local monthly. The paper is very in touch with the area and is officed
downtown.
Trulia - This is a great real estate site (as opposed to all the other terrible ones). Trulia provides very detailed data down to the neighborhood level for Trenton. There are some crime and education stats. There are also maps showing neighborhood boundaries and for sale real estate locations. This site has some of the features I was hoping to add to trentonlofts and now just may not need to.
Trenton
Downtown Association - TDA serves as the organizing force for the
downtown commercial district.
JazzTrenton - Site run by the Disciples of Jazz which features music at The Candlelight Lounge.
Trenton2Nite
- our monthly Friday night festival happens the 2nd Friday of the month.
City
Smiles - Promotes and invents activities for kids in Trenton.
livingonthenet.com
- My personal site for Trenton restaurant and movie reviews and my articles
on urban issues
